You cannot go to jail here for taking your child to an area which may be
subject to war. And in this country, people live where there may not be
bombs falling, but where drive-by shootings cause their children to have to
sleep on the floor every night, and they aren't put in jail for that.

Lebanon was relatively (and I said RELATIVELY) quiet before this all
started, and had built back up quite a bit from the damage of previous
conflicts.

their child, not where they live.

But does that change the fact they were putting themselves and their
families in harm's way? To take a child to such a place would be
endangering children and here they could go to jail for that charge.
