Damn those 20-somethings with the great eyes!
My flat panel monitor now has two "scratches" on it -- not really
scratches but places where it's just not smooth and Word Perfect blue
but rather white. I can't rub it to effect any change and not sure
what's causing it. Anybody had this problem?
Margie
Some LCD displays have coatings that can get scratched. Bad pixels are also
a problem with LCD's, but it doesn't sound from your description that bad
pixels is the problem, and they don't go bad in a linear manner.
Not sure what you could do if the coating is scratched, but I bet if you do
some Googling on the issue, you will find some more info.
