Also a second question:
The XP computer connects to the net, but doesn't seem to be connected to this computer. I need to transfer some files, but am not sure it is connected. During the setup of XP, it looked like it did the networking automatically, but now I'm not sure.

Re-phrasing question: Anybody know what the problem with the computer might be?.
Neal wrote:Backum-up computer died. Took it to a shop my daughter's boyfriend recommended. They ficked it. Cost $112. I was happy with the low price. Got 'puter home and plugged it in. Damned thing did not boot. Took back to shop. They called me and said hard drive died. Quoted a price. I said forget it, and picked up computer.
Decided to fick it myself. Finally got it to boot, using old DOS commands. Decided to install Windows XP Home Edition. Installed. Used up all my hard drive space. Decided to re-install, this time formatting HD. This time it looks good, but.....
When I scroll down a page, it does it funny, just a part of a page at a time, kinda herky-jerky. Anybody know what my problem might be?
Thanks,
Neal
