I love to fly, or at least I used to before they started packing
passengers in like sardines in a can. Give me a window seat, and I'll
be entertained for the length of the flight (well, okay, hours and hours
crossing the ocean might prompt me to get out my book, but otherwise...)
I love the feeling of power during takeoff and landing especially. I
feel safer on a plane than I ever do in a car. I enjoy road trips a lot
too (I guess I just like to GO!), but cars make me a lot more nervous
than planes.

The drive would be shorter if you have to leave the plane there and the drive back to retrieve the bird would be shorter as well. ... and rent a car there, and that's what I would have done if I were alone. ... between layers and had a pretty uneventful fight home. ...
