I'm sure no expert so can't help you with your current problem, but if you DO need to replace the HD, their price has come down so much I was amazed. We replaced the HD in my BF's computer a couple of months ago and paid $60 for a 60GB HD, including shipping, from either Office Depot or Staples. I'm pretty sure it was Staples, come to think of it. We installed it ourselves and put XP Pro on it, easy as pie. I felt like quite the techie! <G>

Also a second question:.
The XP computer connects to the net, but doesn't seem to be connected to this computer. I need to transfer some files, but am not sure it is connected. During the setup of XP, it looked like it did the networking automatically, but now I'm not sure.

Damned thing did not boot. Took back to shop. They called me and said hard drive died. Quoted a price. I said forget it, and picked up computer.
Decided to fick it myself. Finally got it to boot, using old DOS commands. Decided to install Windows XP Home Edition. Installed. Used up all my hard drive space. Decided to re-install, this time formatting HD. This time it looks good, but.....
When I scroll down a page, it does it funny, just a part of a page at a time, kinda herky-jerky. Anybody know what my problem might be?
Thanks,
