How to create an automated job log

Hi All:
I want to create an automated job log preferably in MS Access or Excel
that records
A. The name/number of the voice file or the audio.
B. The length of the voice file or the audio.
C. The date and time when it was picked.
D. Total number of minutes/hours of audio finished at any point in
time throughout the day.
Though I do use line count softwares but they are an "at the end of the
day" approach to logging info about a day's work. Besides they are
more invoice oriented and only use documents, not the length per se of
the voice file.
I was hoping to create an MS Access file that is easy to use, lets me
type the name of the file and length and also tells me that I have done
this much of work already. Just need pointers. I am too bad with MS
Access. So yeah, in other words, now as I see it, i am asking for help
creating an "online log" instead of the usual "paper log". :-)
Any ideas?
Sheila
