I absolutely LOVE Arizona. It is an open carry state meaning any person
except felons) can legally carry a handgun on their person as long as it
is in plain view (exceptions being the usual Federal buildings, bars,
and such). Arizona also has a concealed carry permit available to
anyone who is not a felon, etc, and takes and passes an 8-hour class.
Arizona has a reciprocal agreement with Ohio, so my Ohio CCW permit is
good here in Arizona until Sept. Need to take Arizona's CCW class :-)
Arizona also just passed a law that if deadly force is used in self
defense it is up to the prosecuter to prove otherwise rather than for
the citizen to prove innocence which is a great step forward.
I still chuckle at Ohio's CCW law: If a CONCEALED weapon is carried in
a vehicle, it must be in PLAIN SIGHT. Oh well at least Ohio does have a
CCW law.
