Re: Your book came Judity!

Well, I crawled into bed with my new book last night and read through 14 chapters. I actually love books with short chapters, by the way.

Judity, you have a very quick way of describing characters and I can actually picture them in my mind.

And for a paperback, I was pleased with the heavier paper -- just a thing I have with preferring hard bound books and better paper. I laughed at myself because I kept thinking how nice the paper stock was.

Now, I'm hoping I've already caught onto some of the punch lines. And if there are loose ends to be tied up, as someone here indicated, you had better be working on that next book!

I can't tell you how many times I've read the chapters below while
writing and rewriting them. Add to that the many times I've modified
them from comments and suggestions from the readers on the Writing.com
site.

Next came the VERY painful editing of the 110 chapters by the
professional Ph.D. who seemed to love the color of red ink. Lastly, I
read through the nearly finished product that the printer sent back for
one last read-through for typos before saying a small prayer and
turning my "baby" over to the publisher.

With all that, you'd think I could handle opening the actual book and
reading it. Wrong!

I managed to get to chapter 03 and Joe Carpenter's story before I
freaked out with a major case of the "Hey, I think I want to throw up
now" nerves. Maybe tomorrow I can make more progress, but I have no
idea why I have such a problem during it today. Maybe a good night's
sleep will help, so bye for now.
