Obviously now that "spare key" on the hook at home, or the one you will have
to have made will need to be kept in your wallet for emergencies. They did
not say they were prohibiting cell phone or computers in this country, but
they are in Britain. I definitely would not let my laptop go with my
baggage! Beside my keys and cell phone I carry a PDA. And lipstick!!!!! I
was planning to fly in November. Unless things change I may revise my
plans. Because of my various joint replacements I always get pulled aside
which I resent, with the pat downs, etc. This is going to hurt the
airlines, and also resort areas when people decide it just isn't worth it.
Safety is one thing, but...... If they aren't going to allow you to bring
your water bottle then they should hand out free ones to those who want them
as they get on the plane.

I envision a lot more people driving due to more carry-on
restrictions. I don't necessarily want to be able to use my computer
on an airplane, but it's an expensive piece of equipment and I don't
want to leave it to the luggage handlers, either.
And since most car keys contain an electronic device nowadays, what
are we supposed to do with them once we get to the airport? Put them
in our luggage and check them through?
