Re: GOP looks dim in elections-

He may not be, but his puppeteers are

Bob, even my most die hard Bush supporter friends (husband included) have started questioning his intelligence and stopped supporting him. I'll at least give you credit for sticking to your guy, no matter what. But how much longer can you hold on? (And no, I don't think he's smart enough to be involved in a conspiracy, any more than I feel that he can do anything to protect our country from terrorists.)

Bob, you act like conspiracies are unheard of.....

Well, I don't see how you came to that conclusion but... In fact,
I believe just the opposite, there are LOTS of conspiracies that are
actually HEARD of... It's just they are mostly preposterous... This idea
that Bush somehow ginned this one up (with tony blair maybe?) is patently
ridiculous.

That doesn't stop the conspiracy nuts tho - there's a whole bunch who
think 9/11 was plotted/executed by the US government.

How they can call Bush and the rest of the govt. idiots and stupid
yet are able to pull off a conspiracy of that magnitude without anyone
spilling the beans boggles the mind. Hell, they can't keep various
anti-terror programs secret - the NYT will publish anything... so getting
all the explosives into the WTC and making it all look like planes did it...

Sure... and I have a bridge in NYC to sell... 8-))))

I'd still like an answer to the question I posed tho...

No surprise we roll out the terror and fear when elections look scary for
incumbents. How convenient! I am so damn sick of this!

Can you give us a hint as to exactly HOW '... we roll out the terror'.

Just exactly how DID this latest incident become something that got
rolled out by an incumbent? Or who is the "we" doing the rollout?

Did you ever think the terror threats just might be REAL? Or do you
really believe the Brits just ginned this one up so Lieberman could get
re-elected??? 8-)))))
