DEAR GOD YOU SCARE ME.
People can't know what they haven't been told. How can they? Especially when all the rules have just changed.
Maybe when it's your poor husband who is shot in the back trying to comply because he can't stand up for long enough to take off his shoes you'll "get it."

Nowhere did I say what they did was right. What I did say is that had she.
told them she needed a chair instead of walking away from them it wouldn't
have happened. New times or not. Whether one is in a car or in a line, if
she had voiced the fact that she needed a chair they would have provided
her with one.
It isn't up to the enforcers to make sure we know what we need to know. It
is up to us; it is our personal responsibility.

Being told to get back in the car when you've been stopped is a much
dfferent thing. You've been stopped. Actually most people know they
should sit still and make no fast moves, especially these days. Getting
in line at the airport is another thing all together. It was new times,
new rules, and it's up to the enforcers to make sure we know what they
are and to understand that American citizens dont even fathom needing to
ask permission when they are not under arrrest doing something perfectly
legal. That's the scary part.

The only time I was stopped by a cop I started to get out of the car, he
told me to get back in, and I did. What part of complying with a simple
command is so hard? You don't have to understand anything except that
you are being asked to take your shoes off, and since you can't doing it
standing up, you ask for a chair or if you can use one of those chairs.
Its not brain surgery.

WOW! Ignorance is not an excuse? How can someone be expected to know
something is wrong when they have not been told it is?
