Part of this is a matter of patience and knowing what you are doing.
Sorry, don't mean that to be insulting, but I have had two friends come
over because they didn't like them and needed me to show them how to
properly do it and watched them make failures of the bags.
I have used them since they first came out, probably 8-9 years ago, if
not longer. I couldn't travel without the travel bags and my favorite
for those are using them for dirty clothes coming home.
I have three of the new giant ones, which I have not tried yet. My
biggest ones for quilts are the types that you have to put the strips
together on, but I will be switching over when I go to repack those.
It is all in the packing and making sure that the seals are closed.
Joyce and I brought home 21 North Face winter jackets in two suitcases,
plus all our other stuff because of space bags.
The other problems is for travel, you need to make sure that you don't
take the ones that require a vacuum cleaner.
