Yep, it's the funky sleeping pill. Every single person I've spoken to
that takes it has some pretty psychdelic side effects if they don't go
to sleep immediately. It's kind of tricky, because it kicks in very
quickly (about 10 minutes).
(Oddly, though, drowsiness isn't one of the side effects that I get
unless I put my head on the pillow.)

I did hear further elaboration that the patient sleepwalks when she
takes Ambien, which makes a lot more sense. But unforuntatey, that's
not what's going on her note.

I very rarely have insomnia, but I took Ambien once a few years ago and
watched TV while waiting for it to work. As I watched, the TV slowly
started to become two TV's.

When I couldn't decide which of the two TV's to watch, I knew it was time
for bed.
