How long do you work for a person before you ask for a raise? (NO, it's not
me!) I have a friend who has been doing MT for a small company and she's
been there over a year a half. She asked for a half-cent line raise today
and was told they could not afford it. I think 1-1/2 years is a decent time
period. Should she have waited longer? Should she be looking elsewhere if
she can't get even a half-cent raise?
Curious what others think.
Most MTSOs aren't getting raises for longevity so it's difficult to
give MTs raises for it.
I've given MTs raises as a reward for being extraordinary - accurate,
reliable, willing to try new accounts and dictators. I've never been
crazy about raises as a reward for longevity.
