Re: MTChat

I wondered what happened yesterday. Kind of odd that the administrative
editing page would open for me where it looked as if anything at all
could have been altered on the whole site just by a few clicks, and I'm
hoping no one who got this editing page like I did actually tried to
change anything.

Good thing they shut the whole thing down once they realized it was
completely vunerable to any and all who got the same page as I did when
trying to sign on.

I don't know what the allure is with hackers who get off on doing this
stuff. MySpace has had the same type of crap happen to them on various
occasions. One time a good majority of its users were met with the
message that their log-on name didn't exist and/or that their accounts
had been terminated or deleted, and it was quite awhiile before they
could get back in again. The sad part their is that MySpace users
typically spend a good deal of time creating attractive and versatile
web pages, with tons of content in them. It's not something you can
create in just one day and this really was some hacker's idea of
creating chaos for a lot of users.

I hope the upper echelon over at MT chat can find some useful
protective measures to put in place to help them out. It really is a
useful board and deserves top security.
