Laura, did you notice that the Speedway gas price shot up 14 cents on
Wednesday? I was running to the bank it was $2.11. On my way back it had
shot up to $2.25.

Yeah but I live within 5 to 10 miles of two major refineries and another
one that is about 25 miles way that supply our area, and we have some of
the highest prices. Our gas comes from these refineries.

But it is kind of an artificial market since there are only about six oil
refineries and everyone needs gas and oil (even people who ride the bus
pay
for the gas and oil). The prices here fluctuate every day or so. Last
Thursday it was $2.09, this Thursday it is $2.29 with changes nearly
daily.
One gas station will be $2.25, another four blocks away $2.12. Methinks

is just whatever the market will bear.
