Ah, Phyllis, the meds lose effectiveness over time. Plenty of diabetics aren't controlling their diabetes or don't even yet know they have it. Long as they are conscious, there isn't much of a way to tell whether or not they took their meds just by looking at them. No one is trying to stop dialysis patients from getting it or from the possibility of a kidney transplant.

Diabetes is also a terrible disease that can't be cured, but I haven't seen
anyone go off their medication and go on national television so people can
see how bad it is. End stage renal disease is also a terrible disease that
can't be cured, but I've never known anyone to stop taking dialysis so they
can go on national television to let people know how bad it is.

His foundation's own web site doesn't seem to think fetal tissue transplants
do any good and do have serious side effects.

None of us here knows what medications he is taking (or is supposed to be
taking), how long he has been taking them, how often he goes off them to
serve his own purpose, or if there are new drugs he hasn't tried yet, and
none of us has seen his medical records or talked to his doctors.

Do I have sympathy for this man? Yes, I do. Do I believe this deadly
disease is a terrible thing in anyone's life. Yes I do. Do I believe that
is a reason for him to be deceptive, outright lie, and be manipulative? No. Those attributes aren't what most people are looking for when they
want someone they can respect and look up to.

But, as you have often said of me, "You just don't get it."
