Re: If you still think we can win in Iraq..

This is unconscienable. Just beyond belief. I believe I've heard families were collecting the money themselves to buy their boys the gear (bullet proof vests or whatever it was). Unbelieveable. Send them into harm's way without the protective gear that is available.

The one thing that has infuriated me more than anything is the armored
personnel carriers (humvee type and others) that one company has ready to
send over there that can survive the artillery that hits and kills are
troops. The Dept. of Army will not buy them as they want to use the private
contractor of Bush's choice. However, that contractor (no it is not
Halliburton) cannot build them and have them ready for another 5-7 YEARS!
Too bad, they won't use or buy the ones that are already built and ready to
go. They want this contractor to get the job! Support our troops my ass!
Pelosi was having a fit about this -- I think this was on the news (very,
very briefly in Sept or October) I mean I saw it just once! And of course
more on the blogs.
