Why bring up AAMT - a) you work for them (or are affiliated with them and b) they have had what, 20 plus years, and they haven't managed to improve the perception of what an MT is good for? Nevermind now they are in bed with the offshore business.

I'll shut up for now - but I rather think I'm not the only one who gets what is going on here.

I'm not sure if you mean you personally don't need a CMT credential or
if you mean you don't need me, a CMT, to reassure you of what you
already know. Either way, this isn't just about you or me. Your
experiences and my experiences individually or put together don't even
come close to encompassing the whole of what it means to be an MT
today.

Maybe in that particular situation you feel it didn't matter, but
again, it's not just about yours or my personal experiences.

Not sure why you keep bringing up AAMT, this conversation has nothing
to do with AAMT. Whether or not what I'm saying is true has nothing to
do with AAMT. AAMT does not do my thinking for me, any more than the
Republican Party or the Southern Baptist Convention or Morningside
Baptist Church or anything else I'm affiliated with does my thinking
for me. I agree with all of those entities about some things and
disagree with all of them about other things.
