Just ended here - except still black powder season. I know the herd needs to be thinned, but I still can't accept killing something simply to kill it. Folks around here use them for food - or some of them do

Deer season started here on the 18th and I have been awakened every morning to gunshots. I hate it! I went downstairs a few weeks ago at 2 in the morning and a deer was staring me in the face out my kitchen window. They are all over the yard..
I just cringe at hunting season and Neal is right on why they do it. I have nothing to do hunters at all other than to tell them this is private property and no hunting is allowed.

Today is the first day of hunting season for deer here in Pennsylvania. I live WAY out in the country, so it's a real big deal here. I've been hearing gunshots all morning and all I can think about is those poor deer getting shot. :-(
