Followup letter on AAMT mail in mail today

Well today received a followup letter of the AAMT letter the other day
regarding the People to People Ambassador programs.

This went into more detail. It stated that "As a member of the delegation,
you will represent your profession while advancing the ideals of People to
People International, a nonpolitical, private-sector organization dedicated
to promoting international understanding. Since its founding by President
Eisenhower in 1956, People to People has developed high level professional
exchanges to encourage dialogue with counterparts in other nations.

The success of any delegation depends largely on the individual delegates.
The composition of this delegation will directly impact the professional
benefits derived by each team member. Although professional backgrounds and
experience are primary criteria for invitation, the ability and willingness
to contribute on a people-to-people level also bear considerable importance.

To guarantee your place on the delegation, please complete and return the
enclosed application with a $500 per-person deposit as soon as possible.
You also may apply online at www.ambassadorprograms.org."

It goes on to say the usual stuff. Anyway, if you are interested, you most
definitely should get that $500 in there.

At this stage of the game, I really cannot afford to put $500 down not
knowing whether I will even be able to go and then if my husband went, that
would be $1000 almost a year before the actual event. The way my past years
have gone, that is just a tad too early to part with money for a trip that
is that far in advance...

....but someone I guess might be willing to do that.
