Another de-lurker

It's time for me to introduce myself. I'm Sue from Michigan. I've been
lurking around for a couple of months also. I don't subscribe to many
MT groups, as I haven't felt comfortable with any of them yet - until
now. You probably won't hear a lot from me, as I'm a single mom of two.
I don't have nearly as much time on boards as I would like. To be
honest, I tend to scan over the subjects from the digest and read
probably 75% of them.

A short bio of me: Again, my name is Sue and I live in a suburb of
Detroit, Michigan. I used to work as an account manager until the
company I worked for made major cut backs and my job was eliminated in
January 2001. I struggled with trying to figure out what I wanted to be
when I grew up (at age 41!!). I knew I was tired of the office politics
and backstabbing. I knew I wanted to work from home to be with my kids.
I read about the MT programs and knew that's what I wanted to do. I
love to type, do research, and I also went to nursing school for a
while. I started school with Med-Tec in early 2001. The first company I
tested for was MedQuist. I started working for them in September 2001.
The date will always stick in my head - it was Sept. 11, 2001. We all
know what happened with MQ, and I was one of the many MTs that needed a
change. I tested with CyMed in November 2005 and have been with them
ever since. I love it there, as my supervisor and QA people are just
fantastic. I work out of the Ohio office. I'm scheduled to work the
afternoon shift, but I find myself going in early, as I always seem to
be trying to catch up with my line count!

I hope that I didn't bore you all to tears with the previous
paragraph!! I'm looking forward to sharing ideas and making some good
friends. Being at MT and working from home can be quite isolating at
times, and it's nice to know that others are out there who readily give
the much needed advice!
