Re: I loves my HErman Miller Chair

Janice and the rest of you who have or are thinking of purchasing one of
these chairs --

My chair started acting up as I mentioned previously. You would sit down
and it would just sink and when you get up it would basically launch you.
Sometimes it would work, and other times it wouldn't. It finally gave out
on me last week and I was soo frustrated and you cannot really switch from a
Herman Miller to a dining room chair :(

Anyway, I called them on Friday and they gave me a number of a dealer in the
area as the people I purchased the chair from are no longer in business.
They just called me back and are sending a repair person to my home this
week to either fix the chair on site or order the necesary parts to do so.
Now, they do not offer replacement chairs <snicker> but they do come to the
house so you do not have to lug that stupid thign all over town.

In the meantime, I just purchased a chair for my DH to use when my chair is
fixed. It is a chair from Home Depot that has built in massagers. He
absolutely loves it, but it makes me kind of nauseous to sit in when the
massage function is on, but it will do until mine is fixed.

I have really really taken this chair for granted. You absolutely do not
appreciate this chair until your behind has to be planted in something else
for any great length of time.

Maureen

I'm getting mine fixed, but they are charging me (1) because the
company fixing it isn't where I bought it and (2) the chair was bought
used. It's costing me about half the price of a new chair, which is
still better than buying a new one.

So a word of warning - these chairs are under warranty for 12 years.
If you want the warranty to remain in effect, you have to buy it new.
Otherwise, it will cost you to get it repaired.
