We can't have to spell "walk" around here (often referred to as, "Hey,I swear the dogs know every move you make that leads up to the "walk."
you want to go on one of those W things?"). And God forbid someone
should bump up against the leashes that are hanging near my kitchen
door! Pandemonium ensues. <G>

LOL. I've got one on youtube of my German shepherd running in front
my horse as we ride. She LOVES to do that. Well, she loves to "G-0"(we
need to spell that word if we don't want a frenzy of excitement asshe
and her buddy the lab are happy to GO anywhere - GO for a walk, GOfor
a ride, GO run with mom while she's riding, GO potty - they don'tcare!
I put an electronic collar on the GSD "just in case." She associates the
discomfort with the remote, not the collar. When I grab that and turn it
on (beep beep beep) she goes nuts yelping and whining and can barely sit
still to get it on. Then she sits there and vocalizes in whines and
wails until I open the door. I try to make her sit until I say OK to
go, and when I say OK she erupts into more excited yelping as she
charges out the door. The lab looks like he's on a pogo stick at times
BOING BOING BOING - leaping completely off the ground with all 4 legs.
Anyone who thinks animals have no emotions hasn't been around a dog for
more than a minute! I'm fortunate to have acess to acres of land (not
all mine) to walk on w/o much chance of seeing anyone and no cars
unless it is the neighbor's whose property it is, so I can let them run
loose w/o any danger of running into traffic. They have a ball, running
and wrestling, playing tug of war with a stick, sometimes both racing
down the trail holding onto the same tiny piece of stick like they are
a team of horses yoked together. They definitely have a grand time.
