Thanks, everybody, for all your kind words. I always know I can count on
the hugs I need from y'all!
I managed not to cry until I walked out of the office and got 3 steps into
the parking lot, so I didn't actually cry ON him, for which I'm sure he
was grateful. He was rarin' and ready to go, though - excited to be
getting started.
It's way too quiet around here...

When I took Andy to drop him off, I had no idea I was going to get so
emotional. It completely took me by surprise.
My then 15-year-old daughter went with us too. I think she was quite
fascinated by watching me sob as I drove home:).
I has been much quieter now since it's just the three of us. I told my wife
that once our daughter leaves home, we're gonna have to learn to talk to
each other again:).
