I
don't have a very big yard here, though, and it just wouldn't be fair
to
have a dog that size. If I ever have more room, though...

Just about. They have a pond and plenty of creeks. The dumb lab was
past his belly in the creek in like December. He finds a puddle orany
body of water he's in it. He loves to go inthe pool in the summertime.
Wades right down the steps and paddles out and back. The GSD, OTOH,will
play or sit on the steps, but if you make a move toward her she'soutta
there. LOL. Doesn't like being pulled in AT ALL
Gotta be genetic. This silly animal doesn't care what it is - long as
it is water - he's in it. Last year he was swimming in our pond not far
from the ducks. They didn't seem too alarmed either (wild ducks). My
former dog, mostly Great Pyr, would swim in pond and other prior dog,
who was shepherd and something (we think lab) was reluctant at first,
but once he got the hang of it he'd make a flying leap off a rock as
far as he could jump -just to get the stick first
