Hate to tell you, but last year Dyson came out with a hand vac. I
haven't felt moved to spend another $150, but I'd love to know how that
little bugger works. . .

I saw that and have been salivating over it ever since. However, figured
I'd buy a full-sized vacuum first. You'll have to post if you do end up
buying one and let us know how it works.

instead of the main handle (on top of the canister) which makes it come
apart, and for $550, I really expected to get a light and a self-

Good to know. I usually end up buying a new vac about every 1.5 years.
Between having a child, 3 dogs and living near train tracks, I vacuum ALL
THE TIME and have tons of dust and hair.
