But you can do all that through XP Pro. Both my laptop and office
computers can access one of my clients, and it is set up just through
Windows, and I can access my office computer from my laptop through
Windows, too. Don't need a special program to do it.

Isn't PCAnywhere just for dial-up use?

My daughter broke her leg running after one of her dogs and I dropped
everything to come to Pittsburgh (she also just found out she was
pregnant 2 days before breaking her leg) so I signed up for the free
trial of GOTOMYPC.COM before I left and it's amazing how great it is.
I sit at my laptop and log on and it's as if I'm sitting right at my
desk at home. I don't know that I'll need it again, but it was a life
saver for these few weeks as I have several offices that call all the
time for old files and I can pull up the file, print and fax it off.
All my shorthands, etc. right in front of me. I can keep current with
Quickbooks and all my invoices. It's definitely worth the $20 or so it
costs a month if you travel a lot of as in my case in the event of an
emergency you can get the free trial for 30 days.

I just use pcAnywhere on my computer. I use it for other things so
it's not like I bought it for the single application of accessing my
home computer. And it's a one-time expense.
