I purposefully schedule appointments for first appointment - either of
the day or after lunch - so they don't have an excuse for running
late.

Well, that used to work around here but I have found that the first in the
morning appointment time is actually about 30 minutes before the doctor
even arrives - supposedly to give the nurse time to do her thing, temp,
weight, chief complaint, etc. I gave up on the first after lunch as half
of the time they aren't finished with their morning patients on time and
lunch has run late OR they had to go and do rounds before morning appts or
after morning appts and before lunch appts. It's really crazy but the
office where I have had to wait the most has gone above and beyond in every
single aspect of my son's care so I will wait and just grin and bear it so
to speak. I know there are people waiting when they are doing things for
us to help improve his health, so I try to be patient while they are doing
the same for others.
