I think almost all new computers would come with an ethernet card
already installed, wouldn't they?
I've had cable for years now, but I still have my AOL. I hate parts of
it, but the email is so much easier from my point of view than using
Outlook or anything else. It also lets me see if my mail has been read
by the recipient, and since a service I work for uses it a lot, I can
assure the work I've sent in has gotten there simply by checking the
status of the mail.
Don't give up quite so fast, Judity. If you're going to buy a laptop,
just do it and be done with it. If you've got the equipment, they've
probably started your account for cable, and now you'll have to go
through trying to get that cancelled w/o any fees.
