Well Neal, I'm going on past experience. You usually end up talking
Martha
into what you want (new cars, etc). But I will admit that a new car and
a
new million+ dollar home are on different scales. Happy fanaticizing!

Neal, if you can afford this million-plus dollar home I want to know
your
secret! You've done something right!

I have never been particularly interested in houses - just a roof
over
my head and a place to sleep. Last week, while meeting someone
about
a mobile home, I came across the most incredible view of the Rio
Grande, the city of Albuquerque, and the Sandia Mountains I have
ever
seen.

I did some searching on Realtor.com to find what homes cost in
that
area. I found the "home of my dreams" and took Martha to see it.
I
have never "lusted" after a home, but am "lusting" big time. I
have
picture of it on my desk, on the walls, and in my car. I WANT
IT!!!!

Please go here and help me wish. There are even 360 degree views
of
the inside and outside.

Who said anything about being able to afford it??? I must admit, I
have never dared to dream on this scale, but it's kinda fun.

Even the interior decorating matches our style - very simple, almost
barren. Probably not a good word, but fairly accurate. Look at the
Virtual Tour - that shows the insides and outside, 360 degree tours.

We could possibly afford the payments, but the $209,800 down does
present somewhat of a problem.

Neal

Well, maybe you could fill him in on the bed and breakfast type
sitauation. He could set up one of those rooms as an office complete
with everything a traveling MT would need, and use the rent to help
with the mortgage!

Sounds like a lot of money for sure. I went into sticker shock when my
DD and her SO bought a townhouse a couple of years ago - tiny - for
about 220,000. Now they are selling it and upgrading to a 4BR home
(why? they aren't having kids) priced around 4 to 500 grand. I about
choked. They are both making decent money now, and my SIL probably has
pretty good job security as one of, if not the only Somali linguist
around, but still.....
