Hear ye, hear ye: Seasoned Transcriptionist(s) Needed

Due to a shortage of seasoned transcriptionists in my area, a company
who enjoys a sterling reputation in the transcription industry is in
need of seasoned transcriptionists due to an existing heavy workload.
Starting out, the turnaround time will be 7 business days on most
jobs, but this could change to faster turnaround times after the
transcriptionist establishes a good track record of performance.

The work is generally non-technical, and the audio will be in the form
of dubbed standard tape or dubbed CD recordings which will be
delivered to the transcriptionist via FedEx, UPS, or Postal Priority.

As a caveat, there will be times when the audio is GREAT and others
times when the audio is not perfect. I throw this out there because
client-provided audio, unfortunately, is not always crystal clear.

The transcription is varied and consists of meetings, conferences,
webcast recordings, focus groups, or interviews, et cetera.

The form of payment is by the page, based on this format: 1.75/0.75
left and right margins respectively, Courier 12 New font, 22 lines per
page, 10 pitch. One hour of audio can produce approximately 40 to 50
pages, depending on the speed of the colloquy. The 7-day page rate
begins at $1.50 per page from the start. After establishing a good
working relationship, the 7-day page rate will be $1.75 per page and
can climb as high as $2.00 or $2.25 per page, depending on the
turnaround time. AND most importantly, payment is made no later than
1 week upon completion of the job.

The company is looking for seasoned veterans and, unfortunately, not
newbies at this time. This is a good opportunity for supplemental
income, but is not a full-time position.

software and equipment to: etranscript at AOL-dot-com.
