If he burns the Express Dictate files to the CD, is there a reason that
isn't jumping out at me that I can't load them from that into Express
Scribe? Seems like I should be able to do that just as easily as I
could off a flash drive or any other?
But that's something never occurred to me to be a problem. Playing the
CD in my computer. Of course that does bring to mind that I couldn't
play a DVD someone made video for me on in my computer.
You can play an audio CD in your PC's CD drive using the Microsoft
audio player. But you cannot transcribe off of the CD drive using
Express Scribe.
You need to rip the CD and save as either MP3 or wav because Express
Scribe can read and play these audio formats.

I haven't tried it, but wouldn't Express Scribe be able to play a compatible
file right off of the CD without having to copy them to the hard drive?
