The way it stands right now, they are granting me a 90-day trial to see how
restructured hours will work. The thing is, what i'm doing is very
specialized and they've just invested 6 months in getting me groomed so that
the only other person in the company who can do this job can breathe. So
they need me. But I'm not silly enough to think I'm not easily replaced.
The company, however, is exploding, and there could be good $$$ if I hang
in. So for today, we're cooperating. What will happen when internship
rolls around in the spring, I'll have to see. I may be able to extend my
degree program out yet another semester (and another major $$ investment) so
I can do fewer hours....
I'm bummed but not counting myself out yet.

Just a quick thought--Since your leaving the job is not your fault, butdue
to a change of conditions, and you are an employee, can you apply formatter
unemployment insurance? Essentially they are dismissing you, you are not
quitting. Don't know if it will work, but thought I'd toss it out. They
may rethink the issue, too, if you are eligible for unemployment because
their insurance rate would go up.

an
employer saying you may not hold a second job?
