I agree about Panasonic, but some foot pedals have to be "installed." If a
disc did not come with it, you might check the web site, but my first
transcriber was a Panasonic. It failed and was replaced/repaired twice
within the warranty, and the next time it failed out of warranty, I trashed
it. Better a used good one than a new Panasonic.

Uh, yeah. Store that Panasonic transcriber where it belongs (in the
garbage can LOL) and get a reconditioned one (Lanier, Dictaphone, or
old-school Sony Memoscriber) from Bob King at www.transcribers.com for
probably the same price. Once I did that, I never needed another one
again.
And if you're in the San Francisco Bay Area, you're welcome to borrow one
of mine until you can get another one. I'm not using them right at this
very minute.
