Jeannie you are right. It is so long since I used a real transcriber that I
totally forgot--I just remember having to install the ones I use with my
computer.

I agree about Panasonic, but some foot pedals have to be "installed."
If a disc did not come with it, you might check the web site, but my
first transcriber was a Panasonic. It failed and was
replaced/repaired twice within the warranty, and the next time it
failed out of warranty, I trashed it. Better a used good one than a
new Panasonic.
Maybe I am confused. I thought she was referring to a tape transcriber.
How would you install them with a disc if the foot pedal plugged right
into
the transcriber? Do they make tape transcribers that play through your
computer now?
