Sue, stay away from A T @ T at all costs. I canceled their LD service
years and years ago to simply use the 10-10-345 Lucky Dog Phone Co for
my rare LD calls. My records go back to 2004 with this company,
probably started after Mum died in 2003.
Recently, A T @ T has been dunning me for $14.62 for past due
account. Even though I've had the local agents check my accounts,
which are current and paid automatically by credit card, the
statements kept coming, three in all.
One very nice lady finally said it must be from a monthly surcharge
since A T @ T still has me on the books as my LD carrier, never having
canceled that service. Why the bill started after all these years?
Who knows! Why they didn't follow my instructions and cancel the
service? Again, who knows!
She did cancel it now, without a charge, and gave me a confirmation
number in case the bills keep coming. Rather than put up with this
shi...nonsense any more, I mailed a check for $14.62 and will continue
to use Lucky Dog Phone co.
