Express Scribe and foot pedal woes :(

Hoping someone can help here. I hung up all my MT gear and uninstalled
everything in the hopes i'd not have to use any of it anytime soon. Alas, I
find myself having to do something for a little extra money for a while.
Anywho... I need to use Express Scribe and my stoopid wav pedal. It worked
back in February so I pulled it out, reinstalled Express Scribe and for the
life of me I cant get it work with the footpedal. I plug it in and it finds
new hardware, but I cant find the driver i need and I cant program it to
work with ES. I seem to remember this happening when I originally set it
up, but dont know what i did to fix it then. It's a serial port (IN-DB9)
that i have connected to a USB converter. I've tried it both as a serial
connection and the USB connection. I'm about ready to pull my hair out :(

Can anyone toss any suggestions out there or if anyone has a USB pedal that
works with ES and they want to unload it, I'd be interested too.
