What turned out to be the standard for nonmedical work?
I'm not sure if I understand what you're asking. If you're
asking about a rate for standard non-MT work, I think it really
depends on the type of work, the content, quality of audio, etc.
There are lots of variables, but quality of audio is right up
there at the top of the list, right next to speed of recording.
Remember, there's a big difference between *dicated* work and
interviews, etc. With dictated work, most dictators at least try
to get the sound to the microphone. With other types, they
rarely think about that aspect 8-(
With focus groups, though (which is what I *think* you were
asking about in your original post), I believe nobody should EVER
quote and accept such a job without listening first.

I tried to get a sample, but this is the first time they've agreed to
record in a net-transferrable format. They were using handwritten
notes and standard-size audio casettes prior, to which I said I cannot
do. lol.
