There's not much to tell yet about my horse, Sassy. We're having some tack
issues and I'm not riding her right now. I need to get a different bit for
her and I think the saddle she came with is pinching her somewhere. (The
guy I bought her from has lots of horses and lots of tack, and he just
grabbed any old saddle and bridle to bring with her ... in other words,
JUNK!) But she's a friendly love-bug on the ground and I just love hanging
out with her. Between the black oil sunflower seeds and all the grooming
I've been giving her, she gleams like a polished penny in the sunlight.
However, I started with one horse and now have THREE! A friend-of-a-friend
was having problems with the stable where her two horses were being boarded,
so now she's boarding them here until fall. One is a sorrel Arabian
gelding, friendly but shy, about 14.2 hands. The other is his half-brother,
a very tall, at least 16.2 hands, black/greying National Show Horse (half
Arab, half Saddlebred). He a joker who likes to steal hats and push people
in the water tub. Last night he gave his owner a Wet Willy.
Our total animal count now is 1 dog, 1 rabbit, 4 cats, 2 goats, 18 chickens,
and 3 horses. I'm considering charging admission at the end of my driveway.
