Unless you have your own accounts, your options of what you are being paid
are nil. And 8 cpl just isn't a whole lot different than 9 cpl.... and
finding someone willing to pay 10 cpl.... just ain't easy to do.
I am seeing more and more EMR coming through my day job and I see practices
willing to tweak and change whatever needs tweaking and changing to get the
reports they need from the data we receive. The MT-generated transcription,
frankly, sucks for the most part.... and speech, well, it's coming along and
while it's not perfect, it does just as good a "bad" job as many MTs do, so
yes, I see it finally going to impact transcription jobs and pricing.
And I wouldn't recommend this job to anyone..... not anymore.
