One thing I know is that when a doc is chronically "confused" I question
things much more than I would for one who is concise and rarely
misspeaks. If he says the patient is on X drug for X problem and it is
not the common use of the drug, I'll check to find out if it is off
label, knowing he/she is THINKING about what they said. Some others,
you question anything that sounds even slightly questionable because
you know they are not thinking. I know my docs appreciate it, including
one doc I used to do as a sub and whom I'd never met.
