Margie, did you ever find one? Years ago, I recall buying preamps from RadioShack for $10-15--not a big component deal, but a little box you run RCA cables between turntable and receiver/amplifier. I probably have them, but as they're undoubtedly buried in the garage or attic (an all-weekend project), I suspect it would be simpler if you could still buy them there.
