That used to happen to me about 20 years ago. Then I discovered why. It was because Nutrasweet was destroying my short-term memory. (I found out the hard way about 3-4 years ago that Healthy Choice Fudge bars now have Nutrasweet in them, although they didn't the first time I bought a box of them.)
Stopped using Nutrasweet, and most of my memory came back, although it never really has been quiet the same since.

I get out of my chair in by converted bedroom office, walk down the hall, turn into the living room, through to the kitchen. Now what did I come in here for? I have no idea.
I get a Healthy Choice Fudge Bar out of the freezer and sit in my leather
