They say everything we have ever done is still stored somewhere in the
brain. I thought it interesting that when I was studying Arabic, my Spanish
kept popping up--words I hadn't remembered for years--obviously stored in
the same area of my brain.
I still believe if there were some way to defrag that "disk" our memories
would be restored. I don't want to totally reformat the drive, but I sure
would like to delete a whole bunch of stuff to make room for the things I
need to remember NOW!

One day I couldn't find my dish rag anywhere - back 50 years ago before
sponges, etc. I looked under the sink, in the kitchen towel drawer, even
in the dirty clothes hamper. Nowhere to be found. Later when I went to
start supper, lo and behold there was my dish rag folded neatly on a
shelf in the fridge. AND, I was only about 20 years old at the time.
Haa, it has all been downhill since then.
