Donna VR can relieve the hands. I am more efficient with keyboarding, but
if you take the time to make it work VR can do very well. I use Dragon
Naturally Speaking Pro. It can be frustrating at first, but it does work.
I had to have surgery on my hand several years ago, and my right arm was
in a cast for about 12 weeks. I did not miss a paycheck. When my carpal
tunnel bothers me now I still use it some. It definitely is a
consideration if you do not want to give up the MT work, but it requires
investment both of time and money to make it work.
Just a thought to keep in mind. I can't do the lines per day I used to,
but I plan to keep chugging along at this as long as I have the clients I
have and my brain doesn't give out.

I agree with Barb's recommendation to try using VR if you're still
interested in doing MT.
If you're done with MT, then the same qualities that allowed you to be a
success in that field will allow you to be a success in your future
endeavors.
