Kathy, I've always worked with adults who usually were professionals
in action and speech. There was the occasional scatologic comment now
and then when something went wrong, but it happened rarely.
I do remember once when I was a programmer at the local bank. My boss
had come into my office and ticked me off, as he had a habit of doing
since he enjoyed pushing my buttons. He and none of the others had
heard me say nothing stronger than shit or damn, but this day I got so
mad at Dean I said "fuck this!" and meant it! Dean, after he closed
his shocked mouth, backed out of my office and remarked to his other
employees, "Stay away from Judith. She's a little bit mad right
now."
The morale to this is to use the %&&^$# words sparingly so as to keep
their full impact when you do use them. (smiling sweetly)
