I would think that if the owner of the field does not take action to
remediate this situation, and they haven't done so in the time that has
lapsed since the last posting of this subject, I would then take it to
either the town newspaper or the nearest big-city news team to have them
investigate. If they get bad publicity for endangering kids playing
sports, you can bet 5 m&m's and a bottle of Coke they'll be changing
that up real quick.

They all have completely ignored the situation (football commissioners that
is) claiming that nobody knows who put up the chains and locks. I said that
if nobody knows who did it, then it shouldn't matter if I cut them off.
That resulted in some "nice" facial expressions. I have considered
notifying the local news and probably will do so Monday. It's just crazy
IMO.
