I don't get either.

I usually get the flu shot. I have had the flu and with asthma it wasn't
pretty. I always have an asthmatic response to the flu shot. Last year I
didn't get it and was healthier than I have been in the cold/flu season in
years. My son has always gotten the flu shot, though, and he's NEVER had
the flu. I've gotten the flu even with getting the flu shot.
