Re: Opinion please - flu/pneumonia shot?


I becoming more wary of vaccines and I've never had a flu vaccine. I
don't know if I've ever had the flu, but as someone said, it's kinda
hit or miss. I lost a great aunt due to Guillain-Barre in the 1970s,
she became nearly completely paralyzed. I know it is supposed to
reverse most of the time, but I think she gave up hope. I believe it
was possibly attributed to the flu shot.

So, no, I will not be taking it. I'm 52 and don't have any respiratory
problems, though I did have pneumonia once many years ago. Apparently a
mild one as my only symptom of discomfort was a high temp.
